The company was founded in 2001 by Andy Jackson, and since its formation has worked, principally on a subcontract basis for Major Contractors, on a variety of projects throughout Scotland.

The operations have included the following -

• muck shifting / earthworks,
• road and track construction
• structural excavations and reinforced concrete construction
• pipe laying and drainage works
• landscaping

Jacks1 operates its own fleet of tracked and rubber tired excavators and articulated dump trucks, and have demonstrated particular expertise when operating in difficult ground conditions.

Andy Jackson and his team have, during the past 7 years, played an active part on some of the more difficult constructions sites in remote locations, and proved to be reliable and resourceful. In particular, they have gained considerable experience on wind farm sites from the North of Scotland to the Borders
